Warcraft: Leveling Tips

New female Tauren Priest character

With the Shadowlands Pre-patch live, we finally have the updated level squish, the new Exile’s Reach intro leveling from 1-10, and the revamped Chromie Time leveling from 10-50! With the Shadowlands expansion delayed a bit, now is the perfect time to level some new alts, earn those shiny Heritage Armor sets, or even finish up the Loremaster achievement. These changes bring a refreshing feel to the game, so now’s a great time to return to World of Warcraft.

There are plenty of guides out there which do an exceptional job at communicating the most optimal and fastest ways of leveling, which I’ll link in the Resources section at the bottom. This guide is simply intended to provide you with the tips I found most useful for efficient leveling, but not necessarily top tier speed leveling.

Some opinions

Use Azeroth Auto Pilot if you’re really wanting to level quickly, but 100% don’t feel like you have to. Questing feels very fluid and leaves plenty of choice if you want to just choose your own path. Now is a great time to slow down a little bit and get back to enjoying Azeroth and world that’s been built in the years since launch. If you follow the simple notes in this guide, you’ll level quickly without feeling like you’re rushing and who knows, maybe you’ll enjoy yourself out there!

So that’s it! Just some quick tips I’ve put together either from the Resources below or what I’ve found most useful, myself, while leveling some more alts. I’d be interested to hear what you found useful or maybe some tips of your own. Please share them in the comments below, reach out to me on Twitter, or hop in my Discord to chat!
